Name: Barbara "Barbie" Handler
Door: Door Pass - Submissive

Canon: Barbie
Canon Point: The very end of the movie. She's here to see her gynecologist!

Age: Appears early 30s, but was created in 1959.
Appearance: Barbie

History: Here!
CR AU (Optional): N/A

Personality:
Kind: Barbie is a kind, supportive friend. We see this in how she interacts with the other Barbies, and also in the forgiveness she shows to Ken after he turns Barbie Land into Kendom. While she's happy to take back what belongs to her, she also shows him kindness during his own existential crisis, comforting him and encouraging Ken to figure out who he is on his own. We also her kindness in how she approaches new people, wanting to be helpful and believing (at times mistakenly) that she is a role model to young women. Barbie wants to contribute something positive to the world, it's part of why she's become human - and her approach to this new world seems to be to embrace it with optimism and kindness.

Vulnerable: Barbie comes from a world where every day is the best day ever. She's lived decades of these good days, feeling confident and safe and happy. When she's in the Real World, she discovers that people can be rude, and mean, and hurtful. She cries often, admitting that it's new to her and that it started with a few tears and became a whole bunch. Managing her emotions is difficult because she's new to feeling uncertain, or hurt, or even inspired. Barbie has a lot of highs and lows in the movie, at one point lying on the ground in defeat and refusing to move, but all of those moments are just her learning what it is to be human. Being around her when she's that upset can be uncomfortable, as she is very open about her feelings since she's just busy working through them.

Impulsive: Barbie has a tendency to make choices without thinking them through. This includes letting Ken go with her to the Real World (it was supposed to be a solo trip), punching someone who slapped her ass, and bringing Gloria and Sasha to Barbie Land. Barbie has never lived in a world where actions had consequences, so she's not used to things like getting in trouble for punching someone, or being chased down after she steals an outfit to wear. She does whatever is right in the moment, trusts her instincts, and hopes she's right.

Inexperienced: When Barbie travels to the Real World, everything is new to her. This includes the most basic things like food (she's not used to there being water in the glass that's handed to her), but also the way people sexualize her when she's skating in the park. She's still learning the best and worst parts of being human, and this can put her at a disadvantage when she's not used to the way the Real World works. In Duplicity, she will ask others for advice to help her through it, but there's still an awkwardness and an uncertainty in that will kick in at times. She didn't have genitals at all as a doll, so quota should be interesting.

Powers and Abilities: None, she's a human woman who used to be a doll.
Inventory: Clothes on her back.
